1. Personalized Consultation

When you’re ready to explore stem cell banking, our team will guide you through your options and help you choose a plan that suits your family’s needs. During this stage, you’ll also review and sign the official storage agreement, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth and secure process. We recommend enrolling during your second or early third trimester for a smooth experience.

2. Receive Your Collection Kit

Once enrolled, you’ll receive a specialized stem cell collection kit, carefully assembled to ensure safety and sterility. This kit contains everything your healthcare provider will need on the day of delivery.

3. Notify Your Healthcare Team

It’s important to inform your obstetrician, midwife, or birth team ahead of time so they are familiar with the collection process. Our kit includes step-by-step instructions to make it easy for them to assist.

4. Bring Your Kit to the Hospital

On your delivery day, don’t forget to take your stem cell collection kit with you to the hospital. This kit contains everything your healthcare provider needs for a smooth and successful collection.

5. Sample Collection at Birth

After your baby is born and the umbilical cord is clamped, your healthcare provider will use the kit to collect the cord blood (and optional tissue samples). The process is quick, safe, and completely painless for both mother and baby—without disrupting your first precious moments together.

6. 24/7 Sample Pick Up Service

Once the sample is secured, contact one of our representatives and we will arrange for sample pick-up. Our team is available around the clock to collect your sample and deliver it promptly to our Dubai laboratory in temperature-controlled conditions to maintain stem cell quality.

7. Initial Sample Testing

Upon arrival at our Dubai facility, your baby’s sample is promptly processed by trained lab technicians. Initial sample results including cord blood volume, viability and total nucleated cell count (TNCC) will be communicated to you typically within 3-5 working days.

8. Long-Term Cryogenic Storage

After initial testing, your baby’s sample undergoes further testing and is carefully processed for storage. It is then preserved in our secure, temperature-controlled facility in Dubai, licensed by DHA and DHCC. An official testing certificate will be issued to you as proof of storage.

9. Ongoing Family Support

Cells BioScience remains committed to your family well beyond the day of storage. Whether you have questions, need documentation, or require access to your sample in the future, our team is always here to help. As part of our continued care, we also share regular newsletters with company updates, educational resources, and the latest developments in stem cell research—so you stay informed every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before Delivery

When is the best time to enroll for stem cell banking?

We recommend enrolling during your second or early third trimester. This gives you enough time to receive your collection kit, review the agreement, and coordinate with your healthcare provider.

Do I need to sign a contract before the collection?

Yes. As part of the enrollment process, you will review and sign a storage agreement to ensure your baby’s stem cells are handled and stored according to regulatory and safety standards.

What’s included in the collection kit?

Your Cells BioScience collection kit includes sterile materials for cord blood (plus cord tissue and placenta collection if opted), clear instructions for your healthcare provider, and return packaging for secure transport to our lab.

What are the payment options?

We offer flexible payment options to suit your needs. Payments include an initial fee upon sign-up and a remaining balance after delivery. You can pay via cash, bank transfer or credit card.

Discounts are available for early enrollment, group sign-ups, twins/multiple births, or full payment upfront. Feel free to contact us for full details.

At Birth

Who collects the sample during delivery?

Your attending doctor or midwife will perform the collection using the kit you bring to the hospital. The process is safe, quick, and painless.

What if I forget to bring the kit to the hospital?

It’s important to pack the kit with your hospital bag. If it’s forgotten, contact us immediately—though we cannot guarantee timely collection in such cases, we’ll do our best to assist.

How soon does the courier pick up the sample?

Our courier team is on-call 24/7. Once you notify us after the collection, we arrange immediate pickup to maintain the sample’s viability.

Can I still delay cord clamping and collect cord blood?

Yes. Delayed cord clamping and cord blood collection can often be done together, depending on how long the delay is and the clinical circumstances. We recommend discussing this with your healthcare provider in advance to balance both options safely.

After Birth

How is my baby’s cord blood tested and stored?

After arrival at our Dubai lab, the sample undergoes initial and advanced testing for quality, viability, and sterility. It is then processed and stored in cryogenic tanks within our secure, DHA-licensed facility.

Will I receive confirmation that the sample was stored?

Yes. Once processing is complete, you will receive a certificate with testing results, including stem cell counts and confirmation of secure storage.

How long is the cord blood stored?

We offer long-term storage options of up to 60 years, with renewal options available beyond that.

Ongoing Support

What if my family needs the stored stem cells in the future?

If your family ever requires access to the stored sample, we assist with release and transportation to the approved medical facility.

Will I hear from Cells BioScience after storage?
